Open to two New Orleans streets, the famous Rue Chartres is home to the one of the most photographed, and reveered, buildings in New Orleans, the St. Louis Cathedral. Watch people as they stroll by coming and going to Jackson Square, only one block from The Alpine Bistro.
Oh, the courtyard. No other place on earth has so many beautiful courtyards, several of which were the inspiration to some of our most respected novels. The orange sunset casts colorful shadows on the walls to the courtyard as you hear the New Orleans nightlife straining to come alive.
Sitting on a bar stool, listening to locals talk about politics (boring subject in New Orleans!), the Saints, or who was seen where, you will become part of the fabric we call the View Carre, a few square miles of some of the most historic ground in the United States of America.
